WHAT HAPPENED?

I’m posting this because an issue I had with Stake has remained unresolved for years, and I still have not been able to recover the funds that were left in my account. The problem started around June 2023. I was regularly placing sports bets, mainly on tennis, through Stake.com. At one point, I made a withdrawal of approximately 11,000 XRP. Shortly afterward, Stake suspended my account while I still had approximately 10,500 XRP remaining in my balance. They began asking me for various documents as part of their verification process. I cooperated fully and provided everything they requested, but the documents were repeatedly rejected, often for different reasons each time. For example, with the selfie verification, they repeatedly instructed me to submit a selfie holding my ID with “today’s date.” I would submit the requested selfie and wait roughly 72 hours for their review, only to receive another message telling me to submit a new selfie with “today’s date.” The utility bill verification became even more frustrating. They initially requested the document in PDF format, so I provided my online utility bill along with proof of payment from Revolut and another bank account. After waiting approximately 72 hours, they rejected the documents and said they needed them in a non-digital format. I contacted support to clarify what they meant, and they told me to print the documents. I did exactly that. Then they changed the requirement and asked me to provide three months of utility bills. I provided those as well, but they subsequently said they did not accept photos of the documents. At one point, they even requested a Revolut payment history with a stamp and signature, which made little sense to me given that Revolut is an online banking service. For proof of payment/income, I initially provided my latest payslip and a bank statement. They then rejected those and requested three months of documents instead. I continued cooperating with every request, but the verification process seemed to go in circles, with new requirements appearing after I had already fulfilled the previous ones. After about a month, I eventually lost access to the account completely. When I tried to log in, I was informed that my account had been disabled. I contacted [email protected], but unfortunately they were of little help and I was unable to get the issue resolved. I also contacted the Curaçao gaming authority, but I never received a meaningful response. The original incident happened around June 2023. It has now been roughly three years, and the situation remains unresolved. I still have approximately 10,500 XRP that was left in the account when Stake suspended it.
